Volunteer

CASA of Northeast Tennessee provides 3 primary volunteer roles: The Advocate, The Ambassador, and The Board Member.

The Advocate works the case; getting to know every aspect of the child’s life and seeking out what is in the child’s best interest. Advocates provide a court report to the juvenile court judge and attend court hearings as an integral part of the child’s team. CASA advocates receive training and continual support from program coordinators. The Ambassador acts as a representative and promoter of the CASA program. The Ambassador is a community volunteer responsible for looking out for the best interest of the CASA program. Ambassadors participate in community outreach events and fundraisers. Read more about being an Ambassador and complete the application to join this growing team!

The Board Member serves a 3-year term on the Board of Directors, meeting monthly to look of for the best interest of the organization and ensure CASA of Northeast TN is ethically and financially sound. For more information on joining the Board of Directors, contact Melanie Feathers.
