THE CHALLENGE OF SUSTAINING ESSENTIAL ANNUAL FUNDING.
- CASA lacks endowments or reserves. All of our funds come from sources that must be renewed annually.
- Each year we must work diligently to generate financial support anew.
- Above the State of Tennessee (TCCY) grants totaling $45K, CASA must raise over $100K more from additional grants and individual and business contributions to meet the rest of our budget needs.
INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS.
- Vital to sustain our volunteer advocacy!
- About 30% of CASA's FY07 funding came from individual donations and individual support for fund raising events.
- Without this support, CASA would be forced to cut our volunteer advocacy by as much as half. That would mean serving an estimated 100 fewer children each year.
- If you would like to donate, you may do so by clicking here.
CORPORATE AND BUSINESS SPONSORSHIPS AND CONTRIBUTIONS.
- Businesses and corporations currently contribute less than 15% of needed funds. We are striving to increase this component of our support.
- CASA's mission and impact should invite support from this important economic component of our community.
- CASA looks forward to working with area business and companies to develop partnerships and the possibility of multiyear financial support for our vital volunteer work.
- We welcome assistance in this area, and are especially interested in developing support beyond one-time contributions.
- If you represent an interested business or corporation, scan our Business & Corporate Support Page, and please contact CASA's Executive Director.
GRANTS AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION CONTRIBUTIONS.
- This represents about 30% of our current funding, clearly a crucial component.
- These important sources of support must be renewed by formal applications for a limited portion of support for which many worthy organizations compete. This makes for an unpredictable situation further complicated by request resolutions that are often delayed well into the affected budget year.
- CASA NETN is partially funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee.
